This is peak Prince. Perhaps the best performance of his ever filmed. And we wouldn’t say that lightly.

We don’t have a lot to say other than click, play, and lose your mind to this 9-minute funk fantasia built on the bones a 19th-century spiritual. Prince sings and plays with a passion that’s shocking even by his own standard, and watching him lead his band and the crowd through this otherworldly workout is a wonder to behold. And, yeah, that’s Sly & The Family Stone/Graham Central Station’s Larry Graham on bass. Play it loud and celebrate the fact that you were alive for Prince’s reign.
